Readiness Assessments

Readiness Assessments provide detailed accounts of countries’ preparedness for the mass scale adoption of eCooking. They are presented in language appropriate for non-technical consumption by decision-makers and partner organisations.

The reports are used to determine the next steps in specific countries: barriers that need addressing, stakeholders for inclusion in technical working groups, and opportunities which already exist and may be suitable for scaling, among other things.

The Readiness Assessments are conducted by GeCCo in-country partners, and have been kindly funded by SNV and MECS.

The reports assess market readiness across seven areas: status of the ITMO, the Voluntary Carbon Market, readiness of user demand, electrical infrastructure, supply chain, distributors, and enabling environment. Each report also presents key recommendations for the mass scale-up of eCooking, under a country-specific context.
